JobRoad Kickstart – Action Matchmaking 50+

On Tuesday, 3rd September, we were invited to attend the KICKSTART – Action Matchmaking 50+, organised by JobRoad (integration through employment) in Brussels, hosted at the Werk Centrale Emploi. The participating companies, including Naos Hotel, Tempo Team, Infrabel, McDonald’s, StaffingSolutions, Ikea, Carrefour, and AdriaGroup had the opportunity to share their vacancies for candidates over 50  with job coaches and employment advisors. 

We are proud to have been part of this initiative, supporting efforts to help candidates over 50 integrate through employment!

Coaching process

The process starts with an individual meeting with a job coach, covering the essential foundations of job searching: updating your CV, clarifying your short-term professional objective (realistic and accessible employment or training) with an action plan, completing your MyActiris profile, and identifying jobs and training aligned with your skills.

Once this stage is completed, you move into practice through analysing job offers, writing cover letters, preparing for job interviews, and receiving support in reviewing your applications. You also gain access to workshops and content on various topics, ranging from strengthening self-confidence to gaining a better understanding of AI.

Case: student without CV, applying for internship
